Dana Carneal is the President of the Captain Christopher D. Carneal Memorial Foundation. Dana and Captain Carneal were married in October 2010. They were a happy, blended family, with four children together. Chris and Dana met in the early 2000s when they served on the fire department together. Throughout the years, Dana was a Police/Fire/911 Dispatcher, but hung up her headset for the last time in 2021 to pursue a career in Fire Administration.

Mike Wupper is a Colorado native who grew up in the mountains west of Colorado Springs. Mike and his beautiful wife Amanda have been married for 13 years and have two amazing kiddos named Addisyn (12) and Brayden (8). Mike enjoys spending time with family and teaching his kids to enjoy the outdoors, sports and everything the beautiful state of Colorado has to offer. Mike has dedicated his professional life to nearly 20 years in the fire service. Mike started his fire career in Eaton Colorado where he volunteered while going through EMT and the fire academy in Fort Collins and Greeley. After obtaining his degree in fire Science, Mike moved back home to start the next chapter of his life with Amanda. Mike has worked for numerous fire departments in the area to include Manitou Springs, Stratmoor Hills, Fort Carson, Cimarron Hills, and Cascade. Mike’s accomplishments in the fire service include anything from managing programs and non-profit organizations to eventually achieving the rank of Deputy Fire Chief. Mike has dedicated his life to leading and supporting his peers to make sure everyone goes home, and everyone is trained and protected to the highest level possible. Mike has been blessed with many awards including Rookie of the year, Firefighter of the year, Life Saving awards, Company Citations, and various others from the Garrison Command on Fort Carson. Mike has been affiliated with numerous programs including Training Division, Tech Rescue, Wildland, Hazmat, ARFF and EMS. Continuing education has always been a passion of his and he was able to complete the Fire Emergency Services Administration (FESA) program through Colorado State University in addition to his Fire Officer 4 certification at Alabama Fire College. Mike has always loved wildland firefighting and had the opportunity to deploy as an engine boss to some of the state’s worst wildland fires, also deploying to fires in Montana and New Mexico. Mike attributes all of his success to his family, friends and all of his brothers and sisters wearing a badge. Mike has also worked for his family’s building supply company since 2005 as the safety program manager. The company has since sold out to a larger nationwide organization (Kodiak Building Partners) where Mike has recently accepted a full-time position as the Operations & Safety Supervisor. Mike is the Assistant Fire Chief with his hometown Fire Department and loves that he can continue to serve and protect his community. Mike is always striving to help others become successful and is excited to see what the future holds for him and his family.
